Diploma in Healthcare Ethics & Professionalism (DHEP)
The Bioethics Department of Shalamar Medical & Dental College and the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) have launched a one-year diploma to address basic healthcare ethics and professionalism issues.
This diploma tackles challenges today’s healthcare professionals face, covering clinical ethics, research ethics, leadership, and professionalism. This unique curriculum brings together the expertise of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, ethics committee members, policymakers, researchers, and hospital administrators to develop professional competencies, ethical practices, and policies in Research, Education, and Clinical Practice.

- Tailor-made curriculum: We do not believe in a one size fits all approach. Address the specific socio-cultural and ethical complexities faced by healthcare professionals in Pakistan with the DHEP program's customized curriculum.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from HEC recognized educational institution. This course is designed for students with the following profile:
- Doctors with MBBS/BDS with 2-year experience
- Nurses with BScN with the minimum of 2 years experience
- Other healthcare professionals with 16 years of education and at least two years’ work experience
- Researchers/ Managers with 16 years of education with two years post-qualification relevant work experience
