Music Society

Medical school is intense. Between long hours of study, stressful exams, and emotionally taxing clinical rotations, students often find themselves overwhelmed and drained. That’s where the Music Society of our med school steps in—not just as a creative outlet, but as a therapeutic escape.
Music has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve mood, and even enhance cognitive performance. For medical students, who constantly juggle mental and emotional pressure, engaging with music—whether by playing an instrument, singing, or simply listening—can be a powerful form of the self-care.
Our Music Society isn’t just about performances and jam sessions (although those are amazing too). It’s about community, expression, and mental well-being. It gives us a space to unwind, connect with our peers on a human level, and remind ourselves of life beyond textbooks and clinics.
In a place where burnout is common and mental health is often overlooked, having a Music Society isn’t just fun—it’s necessary. Because sometimes, the best medicine is a song.
